Robo Cats

Am I wrong to find this a bit creepy?

Yes robo cats are creepy but look at this way they don't poo and pee everywhere, there are no vet bills and you don't have to feed them but having said that I couldn't fall in love with one I prefer the real all of the above included.

i have to agree with vicky. although as a training tool it could be very useful... or in a house with small children to see how they get along with said cat before purchasing one?

id rather have the poo, real fur and a nice warm cuddle anytime ;)

Occasional lurker, first time poster here!

Yes, as a training tool for small children. But, I also thought of poor seniors who have to leave their pets behind when they enter a nursing home. A step up from just a stuffed toy.

Great word verification! Catina!

Wow, the video scairt me a little bit. I think anyone who could have a real kitty would much prefer it over that imposter.

But possumlady makes a good point. My great grandma lived in a nursing home for about 2 years before she passed away, and desperately missed having cats. She had a little stuffed cat that she kept with her all the time. Now I feel a little sad, because I wish I could have gotten her a robo cat. I'll bet she would have loved that.

Like they say, "ain't nothin' like the real thing", to those of us who love our cats! Fakes are okay for small children, those unable to care for a living being, and the irresponsible who just like superficial beauty with none of the responsibilities that go along with a relationship with a living being. No thanks, Robocat. I love my big, beautiful, furry REAL cats.
